www.Forsakeall.com and www.Feargod.us are now combined into one outreach website. The purpose of this site is to help others experience the love of the Creator of this universe, Jesus. We also desire to help everyone to prepare for the day when we will all stand before Him. All the materials on this site are for that purpose only. The document below is an IMPERFECT attempt to articulate what we believe the Scriptures to teach at this point in time in our walk with Him.
1. We believe the Scripture is the inspired Word of Creator of this universe.
2. We believe there is one God eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His humanity, His perfectly sinless life, His substitutionary death as an atonement for our sins, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal return to the Earth for His saints.
4. We believe all human beings are dead in sin and utterly lost and that the only way their sins can be forgiven is through repentance of sin and through faith in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that this experience is called being born again (the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit) and must bring forth fruit to be real. We do not believe that a man's works can save him, neither do we believe in an easy believism. Justification is by faith in Christ alone. Faith is an act of the will and must be continued in to be saved. We reject the humanistic (man-centered) gospel of the 21st century. We believe the God-centered gospel which calls upon man to repent. Repentance means turning from: 1. self as the center of one's life, from doing one's own will, from 2. walking along one's self-chosen way, from 3. loving money, from 4. loving the world and the things in the world (the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life)and 5. turning TO God, loving Him with one's whole heart, making Him the Center of one's life, dying to one's self, and doing His will henceforth.
5. We believe the scriptures to teach baptism in water, by immersion, after regeneration, in the name of the Father, the Son (The Lord Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is the first step of faith and should be done as soon as it is clear a person has truly been connected to Christ.
6. We believe in the necessity of being filled with the Holy Spirit continually in order to have power to be witnesses for Christ - by life and by word. This is something we also need in order to have victory over sin. We do believe that the gifts are for today and that God gives them as "He will" (different people have different gifts). The gifts must not be explained away or used to justify emotional, psychological manipulation and soulish worship.
7. We believe in the resurrection of the righteous to eternal life and the resurrection of the unrighteous to eternal damnation (the lake of fire).
8. We believe that the Church is the "body of Christ" to be made up of those who have been born again into His family. Christ has chosen to express Himself in a local way to propagate His gospel. I.E. local expressions of Christ
Our desire is to have a family of believers who love one another and help each other overcome sin, the world, and life's trials. We believe the primary purpose of "local expressions of Christ "is to bring glory to Christ through "presenting every man perfect in Christ," corporate worship, teaching of His word, fellowship, frequently partaking of The Lord's Table, feeding the poor, helping the oppressed, and being a true representation of Jesus to our world. We are attempting to free ourselves from the bondage of any religious system, tradition, or old wine skin that may hinder us from seeing Christ.
9. We believe in the principle of doctrinal humility, which is simply that we do not know everything and are willing to let God teach us new things. We reserve the right to change as the Father shows us more of Himself, therefore we are not even bound by this poor attempt of a statement of faith.
10. We believe the Scriptures teach a world view of "Two Opposing Kingdoms." We believe that the Kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom totally separate from this world's kingdom.
11. We believe that the love of money is the root of all evil. Therefore we reject the American dream with all its covetous practices which drown many Christians into perdition. Our stand on money matters is that no reports of the work done or any appeal for finances are ever sent out anywhere. All money that is received as voluntary contributions goes directly to the work of spreading the gospel through literature, audio cds, etc. None of us at www.forsakeall.com have ever taken a single penny for preaching Jesus Christ on the streets, or for any work related to this website. All of the paper, ink, CDs, banners, traveling expenses,
and web design fees are paid for by the fruit of our own working hands:)
12. We believe in the outward ordinances given to us in the New Testament and observed throughout church history. Two of these ordinances are given in 1 Corinthians 11: The Lord's Supper is to be observed often. We also believe 1 Corinthians 11 teaches that woman cover when "praying or prophesying " as a symbol that she is covered by her head.
13. We believe in the second coming of Christ; we believe in a physical return of Jesus Christ to the Earth. He shall come in like manner as He left. We should look to, hope for, and expect the coming of the Lord. This hope will cause God's people to purify themselves.
(John 14:1-3; Acts 1:9-11; I John 3:3; 2 Peter 3)
14. We believe that the end purpose of the Church is to help us to walk in love toward God and toward all men. Love should be the focus of our fellowhsip, not doctrines, rules, or any such things that seem to divide God's People. (1 Corinthians 13:1-8; Matthew 22:35-40)
